Janet Slom
August 16 – September 15, 2013
Janet Slom presents "New Work," an installation of paintings and drawings. Drawing on her career as a visual artist, dancer and teacher, this installation of African-inspired works invites viewers into a dynamic visual experience.
Vibrant forms and figures emerge like a vortex or tornado from works on canvas, paper and mylar. Janet Slom explores being present with life's intensity, alive in the dark of night; as well as themes of interconnectedness, impermanence and collaboration.
Born in South Africa, Janet Slom, MFA, is on the faculty of Lehigh University's Global Village.
