SUMMARY:Artist Residency: Susan Hackett - Open Studio
DESCRIPTION:OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS – FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC\nIntro to Using a Digital Microscope to Create Art\, Changing Hearts and Minds – How and Why\n  \nTuesday\, August 15\, and Tuesday\, August 22\,  2-5 PM \nThursday\, August 10\, and Thursday\, August 24\, 3-6 PM \nSaturday\, August 12\, and Saturday\, August 19\,  10-1 PM  \n\nWorkshops will be Hybrid days spent both in the woods and fields surrounding the Five Points Arts Education Center and in the studio. ‘Micro-hike’ the trails sharing two hand-held digital microscopes to collect interesting images and some fallen material to examine under the tabletop ‘scopes.’  \nParticipants will then return to the studio to explore these treasures and select/print the best of these images on 4”x6”  photo paper. (Rain or Shine)  \nBeginner friendly—no photography experience required. Items needed: comfortable walking shoes\, a water bottle\, bug spray\, respect for other forms of life\, and an adventurous spirit.
