DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 12\, 2025\n2-5 PM\nFive Points Arts Center\nFree event\nJoin Kat Owens as she tells the story of marine animals harmed by plastic pollution. \nFollowing the presentation\, a reception with refreshments will be held for the new installation of Dr. Owens’ four life-size\, hand-sewn portraits of marine animals. These are part of a series of artworks made entirely from unrecycled plastic marine debris. \nA collaborative sewing event will be led by the artist for you to co-create a life-size\, 80-foot portrait of a fin whale. All materials are supplied\, no experience required! \nRSVP
