Figure Drawing Jump-Start!
Instructor: Bridget Eileen Grady
DATES: Tuesdays, November 1st Through November 22nd, 10 AM-12:30 PM
This class is open to both beginning artists, artists who may be rusty, and those interested in exploring a variety of approaches to drawing the figure. During this program, students will be exposed to an intuitive optical approach to proportion on the figure and will use value to create a 3-d Form. By the end of this short course, students will have a strong introduction to how to depict gesture, proportion, and basic form when working from the life model. For the first two weeks, students will work from Old Master’s sketches, photo references, and internet resources so as to gain confidence before transitioning to a live model.
