Participants will explore color\, texture\, and shape by learning a variety of tapestry weaving techniques and will leave the workshop with a completed tapestry. \n\nRequired Materials \n\nCotton carpet warp yarn (Amazon\, Webs\, Halcyon)\nWorsted-weight wool or acrylic yarn in at least 3 colors you would like to work with (Red Heart\, Wool of the Andes\, etc.)\nScissors\n\n\nInstructor Bio \nSophia DeJesus-Sabella is a weaver based in Hartford\, Connecticut. She graduated with \nHonors in Fibers from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2019. She has been an \nOpen Studio Resident at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts\, where she will be returning as a \nStudio Technician this summer.
