DESCRIPTION:LUMEN PHOTO PRINTING: LIQUID AND LIGHT\n\n\n\n\nwith Fruma Markowitz \nTuesday\, August 11\, 2026 \n10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nAges: 18+\nMembers: $117 / Non-members: $130 \nLumen photography is a camera-less\, sustainable technique creating ethereal\, colored images using organic objects and expired black-and-white photo paper. In this workshop\, you’ll learn how to create compositions with botanicals\, paper negatives\, and other textured objects\, creating photographic prints with startling color and texture. Experimenting with various non-toxic liquid solutions and common powders will further broaden the color possibilities in these prints. No photographic experience required! \nSome prints will be “fixed\,” allowing them to be seen and shown in all kinds of environments. Other prints will be saved by protecting them in light-proof bags for transport home\, where they can be digitally scanned to preserve their original rich colors.
