DESCRIPTION:Workshop Information\nDates: Mondays\, from October 18 – November 15 \nTime: 3:30 – 5:30 \nLocation: Five Points Arts Center Painting Lab \nAges: 13-17 \nCost: $125 \nClass Cap: 12 \n  \nEvent Link: \nhttps://fivepointsarts.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/fivepointsarts/event.jsp?event=6& \n  \nWorkshop Description\nStudents will explore a variety of painting and mixed media techniques as they learn how to express themselves creatively and develop their art. Through demos and individualized instruction\, this workshop focuses on using design elements to build drawing skills and personal voice. Working from observation and the imagination\, students will experiment with a variety of materials\, from paint\, to charcoal\, to recycled materials and more. All materials are included. \n  \nRequired Materials\nMost materials will be provided by the Art Center\, but it’s recommended that students bring the following: \n\nSketchbook\nAny drawing or painting materials of your choice\nSuggested:\n\nBasic Acrylic paint set\nSet of brushes\nMixed media pad\nMagazines for collage\n\n\n\nThe Art Center will provide the following: \n\nHeavy Paper Sheets (10-20) (18×24”)\nGlue sticks\nAcrylic paint and Tempera\nBasic Paint Brushes\nSmall Paint Brushes\n\n  \nInstructor Bio\nChristian Crowley is an artist living in Plainville Connecticut. He graduated from the Hartford Art School at University of Hartford in May 2021. His BFA is a double major in painting and sculpture. His art relies on intuition\, and noticing the chance occurrences during the process of creating. Through the integration of his own life into art\, he creates a deep connection with it.
