DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Dan Baird-Miller \nDate: Sunday\, September 10\, 2023 \nTime: 10AM – 4PM \nAges: 14 And Up  \nMembers: $157.50 \nNon-Members: $175.00 \n  \nIn this experimental workshop\, we will be working with non-traditional papers. By using different colored papers\, we will explore how the blue of a cyanotype changes depending on what material is used. We will use some non traditional paper types (non watercolor paper) and experiment with the results. \nIf you are curious about a paper type\, you are welcome to bring in your own supplies\, or use the materials we will have on hand. SUMMARY:Monotypes Printed With or Without a Press
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Tony Kirk \nDates: Sundays\, September 10 and September 17\, 2023 \nTime: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nAges: 14 and up \nMembers: $108.00 \nNon-Members: $120.00 \nThis workshop will occur over two consecutive Sundays where students will learn how print by hand and with a press. Throughout history\, artists such as Maurice Prendergast hand burnished Japanese paper in order to transfer their inked image without a press. The instructor will also show artists how to set up the press for printing and how to adjust the pressure to ensure a good print. During the September 17th follow-up workshop the instructor will demonstrate how one can add an extra layer of ink in perfect registration to a previously printed monotype. \nTo register: click here
