Join Master Printmaker, Anthony Kirk, for a hands-on demonstration of Carborundum Aquatint, a unique printmaking process. Carborundum Aquatint is a painterly intaglio process whereby the various strengths of a brushmark are determined by the use of fine or coarse carborundum grit mixed in suspension with acrylic matte or gloss medium.
After a demonstration of the process, you’ll be guided through the creation of your own prints. Gain a firsthand introduction to Carborundum Aquatint, which you can explore in depth during a following workshop with Anthony Kirk (offered on Tuesdays, April 7, 14, 21 & 28).
