The “Carpenter’s Star” is a great pattern to get a new quilter going! It looks very complex, but is made out of two simple blocks; one being a square, the other a “half-square-triangle” (HST) – a square made up of two triangles. The new quilter not only masters the HST, but creates a stunning quilt that they will be very proud of completing.
